Jennie Mortimer

Jennie began a career in nursing in 1993 and to date has 27 years of medical and pharmaceutical experience. After a number of years working within the NHS in various roles ranging from paediatric intensive care unit / transport team to respiratory medicine. She left and spent the next five years working both abroad and in the UK for a number of large multinational pharmaceutical companies. Roles at these companies varied but focused primarily on pharmaceutical research or working as a pharmaceutical representative/advisor.

She gained a wealth of knowledge and experience but at the same time began to realise that she missed the interaction with patients that her previous nursing roles had provided. She eventually decided to leave and return to the NHS.

In 2005 she gained her BsC (Hons) degree in Public Health Nursing and added the qualification of Nurse Prescriber to her CV in 2009. From that time on she has been assessing and prescribing medication for patients on a daily basis.

Jennie has spent the last few years working as a locum at various GPs surgeries, locally and across Yorkshire.

Over time she became aware of the growing number of patients attending her surgery seeking advice and treatment to help rectify the effects of unregulated, poorly administered non-surgical cosmetic treatments. Many of these cases were due to the lack of knowledge or skill on the part of the practitioner or the use of substandard products of dubious origin (or both). This is where she developed a specialist interest in aesthetics and aesthetic medicine. Her goal is to grow the standard of non-surgical cosmetic medicine and provide the highest quality treatments in the safest possible manner.

Constantly striving to improve her skill set and knowledge base Jennie continues to attend numerous courses on facial modelling, dermatology and surgical/non-surgical treatments whilst at the same time working towards a masters degree in aesthetic medicine.
